Our Restaurants

In honour of our century and a half of culture, and to build a bridge between our historical values and future generations, the mansion where İskender Efendi once lived near Irgandı Bridge in central Bursa has been reconstructed. Using a historical restoration approach based on old materials and traditional construction methods, it remains faithful to 17th-century Ottoman architecture and culture, and to our own history.

In addition to serving as a restaurant, İskender Efendi Mansion also houses a museum of İskender’s history.

The Akaretler Row Houses were built in 1875 by Sarkis Balyan, commissioned by Sultan Abdülaziz as accommodation for the senior officials of Dolmabahçe Palace. In 1892, they also served as the Aşiret-i Mekteb-i Hümayun, the Imperial Tribal School.

We chose this distinguished setting for the only Istanbul restaurant of our historic brand and establishment, which dates from the same era, believing it would bring further beauty and depth to the place.

Kebapçı İskender is bringing its historic journey of more than 150 years to London. Preparing to open its doors at 30 Beauchamp Place, one of Knightsbridge’s distinguished addresses, right beside Harrods, İskender will share its spirit of tradition and craftsmanship with Londoners.
